The Kangaroo March halted in Goulburn on 23 December 1915.\r\n\r\nThe marchers were given leave to take the train home to spend Christmas with their families but they were to meet the remaining Kangaroos at Marulan on the 27th.\r\n\r\nThe military authorities nearly ended the march in Goulburn since they planned to create a new battalion there.  However, the marchers continued on after Christmas and reached The Domain in Sydney at about noon on 7 January 1916.
