This film was produced for the NSW Dept. of Education to demonstrate student life at a co-educational teacher training college.<br /> It includes footage of: <br />- the college buildings and grounds <br />- students studying in the college library <br />- an intercollegiate rugby game (WWTC vs. Balmain Teachers' College) <br />- the intercollegiate ball <br />- "Betty" getting ready for a day of lessons <br />- students at lectures <br />- a student-teacher in front of a primary school class. <br /><br /><em><strong>NB. Student Demonstration, 1951
Wagga Wagga Teachers' College
Wagga Wagga Teachers' College students demonstrating about student rates of pay, on the same day as other Teachers' Colleges across NSW also held demonstrations.
The students formed a procession in Peter Street and marched down to the Wollundry Lagoon. There they sat on the bridge and held up traffic while they conducted a mock trial of an straw effigy of State Premier James McGirr.
They then marched down Fitzmaurice Street, turned up Sturt Street and back to the bridge where they squatted on the road until the police arrived and dispersed them.
