The Wagga Wagga and District Historical Society has been collecting items of local historical value since 1962. A small portion of the Society's collection is stored at CSU Regional Archives. Photograph of a group of police taken while at Broken Hill, early in 1909. These men were sent as reinforcements during the mining strike that was taking place that year.
The reverse side is inscribed with the following message: "This is a group of Metropolitan Police during duty at Broken Hill taken by a local Photographer. You will see the old General lying down in the front. Broken Hill, 8/2/09."
