The Wagga Wagga and District Historical Society has been collecting items of local historical value since 1962. A small portion of the Society's collection is stored at CSU Regional Archives. Wagga Wagga Sandy Beach Swimming Carnival which was held in 1918 at the Wagga Beach on the Murrumbidgee River. The selected images show the diving board, the water slide, the swimmers and the crowd that gathered on the bank to watch the carnival.
