Description
Wagga Wagga Teachers' College students demonstrating about student rates of pay, on the same day as other Teachers' Colleges across NSW also held demonstrations.
The students formed a procession in Peter Street and marched down to the Wollundry Lagoon. There they sat on the bridge and held up traffic while they conducted a mock trial of an straw effigy of State Premier James McGirr.
They then marched down Fitzmaurice Street, turned up Sturt Street and back to the bridge where they squatted on the road until the police arrived and dispersed them.
Identified Students: Paul Raffert is carrying the "NO" sign.
