Staff, students and visitors gathered at the entrance to the Wagga Wagga Teachers' College (at the Dame Mary Gilmore Gates in College Avenue) on the occasion of the opening of the E.H. Graham Memorial Gates in Urana Street.
The E.H.G. Memorial Gates were a gift to the College from the students of the 1958-1959 Session and memorialised the State Member for Wagga Wagga, Mr. Edgar H. Graham, who had died in office the previous year. The gates were installed at the entrance…
This pleasance was situated in a small open area created between lecture classrooms. A small figure, named "Naied", was placed in a small pool of water at one end. "Naied", by K Murray-Jardine, was given to the College by an anonymous donor.
The Moye Trophy for Competition in Dramatic Art was designed by a Miss E Waugh (a lecturer in Art) and was presented by Mr AS Moye (a citizen of Wagga Wagga) for the Wagga Wagga Teachers' College Inter Mural Play Competition.
